THMF Mini Floor Mount

Overview

The THMF is a versatile and compact solution for establishing permanent reference points in floors or walls. Designed for space-constrained environments, this monument provides a high-stability base for both 1.5" and 0.5" SMR target adapters.

Technical Specifications

• Body Diameter: 0.750"

• Compact Footprint: 1.0" height.

• Compatibility: Interfaces directly with the 1.5THMF (for 1.5" SMRs) or the 0.5THMF (for 0.5" SMRs) target adapters.

• Secure Hardware: Features a 6-32 axial machine screw in the base to securely anchor both the protective cap and target adapters.

Installation Guidelines

To ensure the highest level of stability and accuracy, we recommend following these installation best practices:

• Hole Sizing: While the THMF body is 0.750", we recommend oversizing the installation hole to 7/8". Because standard 2-blade masonry bits often create slightly irregular or non-circular holes in concrete, this 7/8" nominal size provides the necessary clearance for a proper fit and adhesive coverage.

• Installation Depth: A hole depth of 1" is recommended to place the top of the monument perfectly flush with the mounting surface.

• Adhesive Recommendation: For the most secure bond, use an epoxy designed specifically for concrete anchors. The THMF’s knurled circumference and integrated concave grooves are optimized for these types of epoxies.

• Precision Alignment: Utilize the 15478 Installation Plate (see image below right) during the curing process. This ensures the monument remains perpendicular and flush to the surface while the epoxy sets.

Protection and Durability

When not in use, the monument is protected by a cap featuring a straight-blade screwdriver slot and a durable O-ring seal. This design prevents debris, dust, and moisture from compromising the precision mounting interface.
