Brunson Instrument Company's training courses are unique to the industry.
That's because our application
engineers have direct experience with many types of metrology
instruments and their application in many different industries, including
aircraft and aerospace, printing, rolling mill, power generation, and
others. You'll receive first-rate, hands-on training from these very
same, experienced application engineers. The knowledge and skills
acquired will pay you back many times over by allowing you to make high
quality and traceable measurements to evaluate any given project, or through
the proper alignment of your equipment and the increased productivity of
your machinery.

Our Instructors
Each course leader is a field-experienced AE (applications engineer).
This team of engineers has traveled the world providing critical alignment and
measurement solutions for major industries including aerospace, automotive,
experimental physics, machine tool, marine, paper/ converting/ printing,
petrochemical, plastics, power generation, primary metals, and rubber. Brunson
instructors have tremendous practical knowledge of the problems associated
with precision measurement and the ability to deliver clear, concise presentations.
At Our Facility... or Yours
Our courses are taught in our Kansas City locations where we have all of the equipment
required. However, we also bring our courses to the location of your choice.
There are many advantages to bringing our training staff to your facility:
- Customized courses are available to accommodate your specific needs. Topics can be
focused to fit constricted time frames or expanded to cover additional needs. We
can design a format that caters exclusively to you and your alignment needs.
- The Brunson engineer instructing the course at your facility can make specific,
on-the-spot alignment procedure recommendations and focus on these during the training
session.
- Students are able to work on and discuss the actual machinery they will be
responsible for measuring.
- Time can be scheduled for the instructor to visit with other departments of your
company, providing a great opportunity to address questions and concerns regarding how
alignment affects other departments.
On-Site Training Options
Customized Alignment (Optical Tooling) training can easily be
arranged at your location. The price includes all training costs, instructor's
expenses (airfare, lodging, meals and ground transportation).
Curriculum is based upon your requirements as determined in a
consultation prior to the course. Customer supplies all required equipment.
(If additional equipment is needed, it can be rented for additional charge, with a
6-student maximum.)

It's the only way to learn
Brunson Instrument Company's courses take the mystery out of measurement and
alignment. In these courses you will learn what techniques are available, and
how they can provide you with flexible and powerful
solutions to industrial alignment and measurement problems.
We cover basic principles so you can understand how each instrument works. We give you
a clear and practical knowledge of operation. You will develop good habits
to produce accurate, repeatable measurements and minimize operator errors.
You will be able to determine what equipment best meets your alignment and measurement
needs.
Hands-on training is the key to understanding and remembering
these techniques. You will master proven, critical alignment and
measurement procedures, and be able to focus them
on your applications. With this knowledge, you can even employ metrology ideals in the design
phase of fabrication, assembly, or installation procedures- as well as for periodic
maintenance. You can establish realistic measurement accuracies, and
then develop a measurement strategy to achieve your desired results.
