The 235-3 fits into the intermediate tube of any Brunson
heavy duty stand or pedestal column stand, and
provides a standard 3½" x 8 instrument thread mount on
top. We call it "hollow" because there is no
center - you can see through it. This allows vertical
sightings with any instrument capable of doing so.

Effective height: 0.975" (24.8 mm) This is the vertical
distance between the lower interface surface (not the very bottom of the unit)
and the bottom of an instrument which is mounted on top of the unit.
